Frome finished the Somerset Counties on a high. The final two weekends of the meet saw them competing in both individual and team events. The 11/12 year old boys and girls swam the team relays and both had top ten placings.
Over the last weekend the races came fast and furious as the swimmers completed the 50m in all strokes. Ryan Hann had the best result for the boys achieving 3rd in the 50 Breast Stroke and Emily Dixon was the top girl with a 9th in the same event.
Also on the final weekend were the 200 Freestyle and 200 IM events where Ryan Hann added a 5th in the boys IM and Rachel Palarm came 9th for the girls, whilst in the Freestyle Dan Brown was placed 8th and Alice Dixon 13th.
Almost all swimmers improved their personal best times and coach Karen Pinniger said that the championships had been fantastic with the swimmers giving their best.
She was especially proud of the achievements of the eldest and youngest male competitors. Antony Lockyer made the finals of several events and had top eight finishes, which included a regional qualifying time, whilst Ryan Hann (pictured) picked up the trophy for 7th place overall in the 10 year old boys category.
